Graduate Diploma in Design

The Graduate Diploma in Design provides students with an advanced, comprehensive understanding of the changing contexts in which they are designing, as they develop the professional skills required to respond to contemporary issues in their chosen specialisation.

Students can select from five specialisations including communication design, design and construct, industrial design, interior architecture and sustainable design.

Program Director – Graduate Diploma in Design

Peter joined the University of South Australia in 2012 after ten years in the United States of America where he was Associate Professor at the Rhode Island School of Design. He continues this relationship through annual academic exchanges between the two institutions. Peter is professionally active as an exhibiting artist and design consultant through Walker Surfboards.

Program Details

During this degree, students will refine their technical and communication skills, and solve increasingly complex design problems through the application of skills developed in integrated courses.
