Amongst the named Top 10 Emerging Photographers for 2019 is student Nima Porkar, currently studying the Bachelor of Contemporary Art (Honours) and specialising in photography.

Nima Porkar, 2019.

Nima works in one of the most challenging modes of photography. His realm is street photography, where he searches for those elusive moments when movement, form, colour, light, shadow, and action come together to produce a unique moment.

"Quite simply, it comes down to waiting - perhaps all day - for these moments to occur, because what he is searching for is something out of the ordinary, something elusive, captivating, and at times mysteriously caught in the corner of his eye." - Mark Kimber, Studio Head: Photography and New Media, School of Art, Architecture and Design, University of South Australia.
