Dr Lev Maekev awarded John Lewis Silver Medal

Dr Lev Maekev, PhD graduate of the School of Art, Architecture and Design, awarded RGSSA's John Lewis Silver Medal

The Royal Geographical Society of South Australia held its annual awards ceremony on Wednesday 17 April 2019 at Government House. 

The ceremony awards a range of undergraduate, post-graduate and career contributions to the promotion of geographical education and research. The John Lewis Silver Medal is awarded to a student from the University of Adelaide, Flinders University, or the University of South Australia, who has made a significant theoretical or empirical contribution to geography through the completion of a Master's Degree or PhD.

The Medal was awarded to UniSA graduate Dr Lev Maekev during the ceremony at Government House, and was presented by the Governor of South Australia, the Honourable Hieu Van Le AC. 

Dr Maekev was jointly supervised in his research by Dr Johannes Pieters, School of Art, Architecture and Design, and Dr Helena de Anstiss, School of Psychology, Social Work and Social Policy.
