Science In The House! Open House at the Architecture Museum

13 August 2019, 11:00 AM

Come and visit Australia's only architecture museum during National Science Week from 11AM - 1PM on August 13!

From hygienic surfaces and efficient kitchens to plumbing, ventilation and sun shading, science has played an important part in the development of our homes. Take a brief journey back in time at the Architecture Museum at the University of South Australia to see how architects and engineers have used science to shape our domestic lives over the last two centuries.

The Architecture Museum will be open for a behind the scenes lunchtime viewing of architectural drawings, maps, photos, notebooks and ephemera so you can uncover some of the mysteries of our homes. The Architecture Museum is located in the Kaurna (K) Building at the City West Campus of the University of South Australia in Adelaide.
