A Dance for Virtual Reality

Sarah Neville has brought together a diverse team of creative, engineers, scientists and academics to create Spheres a Dance for Virtual Reality. Sarah is a co-tutelle PhD student between Deakin University in Australia and Coventry University in the UK, researching Dance Transmission within Digital Simulation Environments and Virtual Reality Platforms. This project is an exciting collaboration between Adelaide College of the Arts, Dance at Flinders University and the Creative Computing Studio at the University of South Australia. Investigating how it feels to dance in immersive digital environments, through the use of Motion Capture and Virtual Reality technology, the creative team invites the viewer to experience contemporary dance first hand.
